After School Crews

WHAT SETS US APART? 

The After School Crew Programs also offer more performance/exhibition opportunities throughout the year, including Polar Night at the Yukon Arts Centre in January and Art from The Heart at the Yukon Arts Centre in May. These crew programs are different from regular classes because students have a more intense schedule of weekly classes and show a higher level of commitment. Being part of the After School Crew programs allows students to progress faster since they get a full year of technical training in dance, music, and visual art, leading to improved skills and performance. These programs also offer more chances to perform or showcase talents throughout the year, like Polar Night at the Yukon Arts Centre in January and Art from The Heart at the Yukon Arts Centre in May.

REGISTRATION AND PRICING

The Full Time After School Arts Program is $409.09/month ($216.82 for music/visual arts/care and $192.27 for dance) over 11 months. This is a total of $4,600 for the year.

COMMITMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS

** Please note that all full time students will be expected to attend rehearsals for performances at the Yukon Arts Centre in January and May. At The Heart, we’re dedicated to providing excellent Arts Programming, and we ask our students to be equally committed. Regular class attendance is essential for students, along with their classmates, to fully benefit from the program.

OPTIONAL AFTER SCHOOL PICK UP

The “After School Care” portion of each program includes an optional walking school bus from Riverdale elementary schools, a van pick-up from EWES (limited space), outdoor play, a healthy snack, homework support, playspace time, and activity centres.
