Section 1 – Purpose of the Position
Supports the work of the Operations Manager by tracking payables/receivables as well as reconciling the bank statements. Supports the Executive Director by updating Human Resources Documents such as letters of offer and job descriptions. Maintains and organizes filing pertaining to both payables/receivables and human resources work.

Section 2 - Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Payables & Receivables
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
- Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
- Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
- Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
- Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
- Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Manages Petty Cash
2. Human Resources Clerk
- Maintain employee records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Collect and maintain employee files, such as applications, resumes, and other documents
- Assist with recruiting, including scheduling interviews and verifying references
- Perform data entry and filling of all HR related documents
- Assist with HR projects, such as creating employee handbooks and updating job descriptions
- Manage employee attendance records and vacation requests
- Provide support to the HR team with tasks various tasks as needed

Education and Experience
- Grade 12 education
- Proficiency in working with the computer (e.g. Internet, G Suite, Microsoft Office) is required
