Part time / Full time to a maximum of 450 hours until June 15th.
Pay: CA$16.77-$18.00/hour
Candidats from 15 years old to 30
Schedule: Varies depending on position
Location: Whitehorse, Yukon Canada
Job Summary:
This is an Employment Skills Training and Work Experience program that provides unique training opportunities for youth between the ages of 15 and 30. These 450 hours work placements provide experiential learning that could lead to a desire for more education, full time work at another organization, or even full time work at the Heart of Riverdale.
We are looking for community minded individuals, who love working with people of all ages, especially children. These positions are for youth that are interested in learning more about any of the following: Child Care, Food Service, Administration, Arts Education, Performance Production: Technical support, Costume Construction, Set Design, Prop Construction, Film and Photography, Program Development, Marketing and Social Media.
The Heart of Riverdale is a one stop shop for busy families with working parents. We offer an alternative to traditional after school care programs by providing arts based programming for kids from Kindergarten to Grade 7. The full program includes incredible classes in dance, music, and visual art. Snacks and downtime are included in the program with an option for a walking school bus from Riverdale schools.

Additional Information:
Conditions of Employment: Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance; All THOR employees are expected to conduct their duties in a harmonious and cooperative manner.
Job Requirements: Bending, reaching and heavy lifting (up to 30 lbs.), long periods of time standing, possibility of evenings and weekends if needed.
