For Heart Fiddlers:

The Heart Fiddlers is a one hour weekly class for fiddle kids, aged 10 and older.
This class is an opportunity for kids to share tunes together in a fun and encouraging environment. The focus will be on being able to play with others in a group setting, improving their skills, and connecting with other kids through music.

As fiddle music is an oral tradition, we will be learning tunes mostly by ear. Sharing tunes is one of the joys of fiddling, so over the year we will build a repertoire of fun tunes common to other fiddlers in the Territory and beyond.

The class will be customized according to the levels of the players, with opportunities for more advanced players to play challenging variations or parts of the tunes.

One or two performance opportunities are possible throughout the year.

Classes will be led by Amelia Rose Slobogean, professional musician and passionate fiddle educator.

Students are required to have had 2- 3 years of private lessons to enroll and need to bring their own instruments.
