Michelle FisherMayr
Artistic director & RAD Certified Ballet instructor
Michelle was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK and has been in love with dance for as long as she can remember. She started ballet at the age of 3 and has been hooked ever since. Michelle spent many hours in the studio studying all types of disciplines (mainly ballet, tap and jazz) getting involved in competitions and exams. Her highest achievement as a young student was receiving a mark of distinction on her RAD Advanced 2 ballet exam. Upon graduation of high school, Michelle moved to Victoria BC to attend the Canadian College of Performing Arts. In between her years of college she spent her summers performing dance with one contract being the Frantic Follies in Whitehorse, which started her love affair with the north. In 2014 she officially made the Yukon her home and joined the faculty of Leaping Feats Creative Danceworks. In 2017 she received her certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance. This certificate will enable her to put students through their own ballet exams. Besides being a ballet teacher, she is also the mother of 3 beautiful young girls. In the summer of 2019, Michelle is performed with Dynamite Stage Productions as a can can dancer for Diamond Tooth Gerties.
