Sachi was born in Japan and started dancing at the age of 5. At age 12 she started her competitive training at Tiennes Mario Ballet, in Chiba. During this time, she won multiple local and national awards in competition. She also landed several soloist roles in productions in Japan as well as abroad (San Francisco). She performed as a principal dancer in “Paquita”, “Don Quixote”, “Nutcracker”, “Sylvia”, and “Sleeping Beauty Act 3”. At 16, she started teaching ballet. She joined the Seitoku University where she graduated in Early Dance (Baroque dance) History and learned music skills.
In 2004, Sachi joined one of the biggest ballet companies in Tokyo Japan, the Inoue Ballet Foundation. She performed in every show, all around Japan, as both a ballet and a baroque dancer. She had the honour of dancing for the Reigning Japanese Emperor. At the same time, she took a step toward a career as a ballet teacher by taking a program held under the Lausanne National Competition where she acquired teaching skills and a solid knowledge of anatomy.
In 2010, she decided to move to Canada where she opened her own ballet school in Vancouver. In 2013 she relocated to Whitehorse and started teaching at Leaping Feats. As of 2018, she is now a RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) certified teacher.
Sachi learned ballet tutu construction from her mom who makes costumes for the National Ballet in Japan. Sachi is now working as a costume designer and maker as well as a ballet instructor for Heart of Riverdale.
